One board for every job you have applied to

Every job you apply to gets one entry on the Application Tracker board. You add a company and a role, pick the stage it is at, and move it along as the process goes. The entry carries the job link, your notes, and how it ended. A wide search throws off a lot of half-remembered detail, and this is where it lands.

How does an entry move from saved to offer?

It starts at Saved, moves to Applied when you send it, then Interviewing, then Offer if it gets that far. The stage counters sit across the top, and clicking one filters the list to that stage. Moving an entry to Interviewing is usually the cue to book time in the Interview Coach, where you can paste the same posting and practice against it. Archived is where a search ends, with an outcome of rejected, withdrawn, or no response.

How much goes on a single entry?

Company and role, the link to the posting, and the stage it is at. Notes hold whatever you will want later, like the format of the second round, the date you promised to follow up, or the name of the recruiter you spoke to, whose record and reminder dates live in Contacts. You can also mark an entry as tailored, which is how you tell later which applications went out with a resume written for that posting.

How do you find an application again?

Search runs across company, role, notes and the job link at once, so a half-remembered detail from a note is enough to pull the entry back up. Sorting covers newest, oldest, company name and stage. The stage counters double as filters when you only want to see what is live.

When does the board tell you something has gone quiet?

An application that sits at Applied for a month with no update gets flagged. From there you can archive it as no response, or dismiss the notice and leave it alone. Any change to the entry resets the clock, so something you are still working does not keep nagging you. No email or push notification is involved; the flag lives on the page.

  • Pipeline board with saved, applied, interviewing, offer and archived stages
  • Company, role, job link, notes and outcome on every application
  • Search across company, role, notes and the job link
  • Flags applications sitting at applied with no update
  • Marks which applications went out with a resume tailored in the Workshop

What stages does the Application Tracker use?

Saved, Applied, Interviewing, Offer and Archived. You set the stage when you add an entry and change it as the process moves. Archived entries can also carry an outcome of rejected, withdrawn or no response, so a closed search still tells you how it ended.

Does it remind me to follow up?

Not by email or notification. The tracker flags any application that has been sitting at Applied for a month without an update, and from that flag you can archive it as no response or dismiss it. Touching the entry resets the clock, so an active conversation stays quiet on the board.

Can I keep applications that did not work out?

Yes. Archiving moves an application out of the active pipeline without deleting it, and you can record whether it was a rejection, a withdrawal, or no reply at all. The pipeline chart covers active stages only, so archived entries do not distort what your live search looks like.

Do I have to pay to track applications?

No. A CareerPigeon account is free to open, and you can start adding applications right away. The plan page lists what comes with each tier.
